Behind every blade of green lies a story of dedication, research, and a passion for nature. And for the past 20 years, Novogreen has transformed that commitment into art.



Novogreen was founded in April 2005 with the mission of professionalizing the production of natural turf and offering in Spain and Europe the widest and most diverse range of varieties, especially those that stand out in the US market.

The creation of Novogreen marks the beginning of a turf revolution for Greenkeepers in our country, but also for seed suppliers, laboratories, maintenance products, advisors and machinery, who become suppliers to a monster turf producer with more than 300 hectares between Spain and Portugal.

We can say that, from its beginnings, Novogreen's philosophy has focused on ITGAP certification of its products precisely to guarantee the quality of the professional lawn, thus facilitating large-scale renovation projects for playing fields of important sports such as golf or football.

For the past 20 years, Novogreen has been at the forefront of innovation in the natural turf industry. The company has invested in research and development, collaborating with universities and research centers, and forging close relationships with growers and suppliers in the USA, a leading country in turf knowledge.

Novogreen was the first Spanish company to offer washed turf. The company commissioned the manufacture of its washing machine in Australia in 2008.

But Novogreen's success has not only been in its commercial vision in choosing the most suitable products to import to Spain, but also in its know-how to produce them with a superior quality to that of the past, especially varieties of paspalum, agrostis and zoysias.


Probably one of the company's most important milestones, and one that marked a turning point in Spanish football, was the production of the first hybrid in our country. Back in 2015, Novogreen set out to produce the first hybrid plant manufactured and installed in Spain, assuming all the risks that this operation entailed.

Novogreen has also been breeding ground for great professionals, such as Jimena Blanco, Lara Arias, Eva Sánchez-Céspedes, Pablo Lasuén, Francisco Javier Gómez, Constantino Herrera or Álvaro Lojendio among others.

  

Yes, we TURF

Always open to new opportunities, Novogreen has supplied the turf for major sporting events such as the FIFA Club World Cup 2013 in Morocco or the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

In 2018 the company opened its subsidiary in Portugal, Cespednovogreen SA, Novogreen, a producer with 150 hectares of silica sand, is located near the exclusive beaches of Comporta. That same year, Novogreen hosted the annual ETP (European Turf Producers Association) congress there.

Since 2021, Novogreen has created important strategic alliances and an efficient distribution network that strengthens its internationalization, exporting to different countries on a regular basis, including Portugal, France, Morocco, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece or Norway.

Interested in new markets, Novogreen's presence at international trade fairs and associations It has always been one of the pillars of its communication strategy. Currently, the company supports more than six industry associations, including greenkeepers from various countries, landscape architects, and others. training and the exchange of experiences Through conferences and webinars, it is always one of its top priorities, even going so far as to promote and organize the 1st Turfgrass Congress in Toledo in 2023, with around 50 top international speakers and more than 500 attendees; a clear example of its commitment to the unity and professionalization of the sector.

Some of Novogreen's projects in the last year include Stade de France, PGA Catalunya, Son Muntaner and Aloha Golf, and the company is excited about new commissions for the 2025 Africa Cup and the 2030 World Cup, as well as for Quinta da Cima, Real Club Pineda, Mijas Costa Golf, Infinitum, etc.
