Ideal for its use in greens and tees on golf courses. It is the most used variety for golf courses due to its antiquity and its relatively simple maintenance.

Yellowing/winter discolouring Very slight, only occurs in very extreme temperatures.
Soils Sandy soils, and soils with good drainage. pH between 5.5 and 8.0.
